LOOKING FOR A QUALIFIED HOSTER

Here some things you should check out in advance before signing up!

1. LIVE SUPPORT 24/7
simply contact them thru their live support and check it out. In 95% of the cases they won't answer you as the 24/7 support isn't available 24/7 ;-)

2. Check out their SPEED of your site and the SPEED of their support
if you have a coffee machine and some nice books to read you might wanna host with SERVAGE HOSTING. They will give you enough time to read chapter by chapter for each page reload and also for waiting until a support member will answer your requests.
if you are looking for communication then go to IMHOSTED HOSTING. They have a 24/7 support and nice addresses to mail to and sometimes they even answer and you will be able to reply many times, because as soon as they start to do something on the server it is getting worse and your site will drop down, show errors over and over ...

CPanel, Plesk and how they are called - simply forget them and check what has been enabled by the Hoster!

---- not possible at IMHOSTED HOSTING as they restrict their ssh to singe IP addresses - in other words it is even not working when you don't have your own STATIC IP Address all the time!!! Do you have a dynamic IP the you will need to wait and write a lot to get this always again enabled. >> simply forget working with ssh at IMHOSTED.COM as it sucks to wait for answers and results!

Can you please get TYPO3 working again on Imhosted including ImageMagick or GraphicsMagick
Our site is still not showing the pictures

As we ran only TYPO3 site Imhosted is USELESS if we can't use Images!!
As our site ran 4 years already on Imhosted and your stupid technicians just deactivated the ImageProcessing functionality and other functionality too it isn't fair at all - so I suggest that you pay back all the money for the rest of the hosting periode incl a fee for us to transfer all GB to a working account on a more reliable Hoster than Imhosted.

This will be the cheapest way without going to an american court where you will loose as we have never abused imhosted and this functionality was active since 1 1/2 weeks ago. Since then our sites are down!!! WHY??? And worst of all NON of our valuable customers has been informed.

If you don't see them than IMAGEMAGICK still can't be called as IMHOSTED.COM has disabled lots of stuff on their servers so also exec() which is needed that TYPO3 can call IMAGEMAGICK

The Salad Bowl and the Logos are already in the demo template and they don't need to be processed anymore so that is why they show up!

But please have a look to the error messages on top they simply tell you that something is not working as IMHOSTED.COM has disabled it!!!

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience occurred. I could see that you were facing many issues after
your account was transfered from " nuclear.dnsprotect.com " to " titan.dnsprotect.com ".

The error on your sites were due to some of the disabled functoins on the server ( such as exec (), ini_restore(), etc. ).
We cannot enable these functions on the server as it can cause a server wide security issue.

In order to fix your issue, we have recomplied php ( customized php ) for your domain. Also we have removed the disabled functions
and your domain is not showing any error.

The Typo3 will now work fine, and also there should be no issues with Image Magic ( as we have removed the disabled functions for your domain ).

You can see your customized php.ini file at the following location :

/home2/.../php5/lib/php.ini

You can make changes to this file as per your requirement for your sites.

I again apologize for the inconvenience you have faced with this issue so far.

IMHOSTED DISABLES WEB FUNCTIONALITIES

Have you ever thought it could not come worse? Yeah - Oh then go to IMHOSTED.COM.
Since 5 days they are trying to move an Account to a modern PHP5 MYSQL5 (Titan) Server and still we are missing lots of files.

But thats not all TYPO3 isn't anymore working with IMHOSTED.COM. They still advertise it but they are simply don't tell you the truth. They have disabled so much

functionality in their PHP Apache surrounding that Applications which need i.e. exec () won't run anymore. TYPO3 is calling ImageMagick thru exec ()

But even more here the list we discovered until now:
disable_functions =exec,passthru,proc_open,proc_close,proc_get_status,proc_terminate,shell_exec,myshellexec,system,shell,system_exec,posix_getpwuid,posix_getgrgid,posix_kill,ssh2_exec,pcntl_exec,ini_restore

as you can see here the pictures are not showing up because of this exec() problem!!!!
No Graphics - we don't know why this error is showing up as the site hasn't been changed for wbout 1 1/2 year and worked perfectly before with lots of images and absolutly no error - especially no exec() error!

We weren't able to discover why this happens as we tries the site on another host and it is showing up perfectly, so it is 100% a server problem - or a problem of your server settings as it was the same with the php.ini problem max mem. You changed it without notice to customers and lots of TYPO3 sites were down as you set the default to 16MB and TYPO3 needs at least 64 to run good in Version 4.2.1

I need the paths to the Graphic Programs and also an exact report about what else has been changed!

this wasn't there before
and we could not figure out why as the our_customer sites were never changed since 2 years and worked perfectly .
Also they still show no images??? Why - does this account has no image Magick or Graphics Magick or have you changed the Paths to it - so i would need to know what are all those new paths also for all other necessary programs to get TYPO3 runinning again smoothly.

This was our best site beside our UNESCOBangkok site.

Still missing are our MOST IMPORTANT FILES

Folder
home2/.../123 - it contains all Pictures from over 5 years about nearly 20 GB
home2/.../BACKUP Contains all our BandinaBox Backups we have Made and lots of other Backups of our productional works

Actually NON of the home2/.../FOLDERS has been restored and even BACKUP is containing no single file

Please check back to nucleus as those Images are linked on many many websites ot hosted by imhosted.

They are all in a directory BELOW Root. Folder 123 with all its subfolders about documents, videos, pictures and much more

everything is missing - about 20 GB perhaps even more we just try to figure out to be able to caculate the damage in usdollar.

I have added the IP 118.173.74.222 in the ssh access list. You can now access ssh without any issues.

Certain configurations in the server needs to be changed immediately for security reason. I sincerely apologize for this.

I told already Ashley that we want to move back our sites from Servage because of there not responding support. If now imhosted is doing the same thing we will suggest all our customers to move from imhosted to servage as one BIG plus at servage is there panel - here lots of stuff can be don even creating of shortcuts which can't be done at imhosted.

So please let us know in the next 2 hours where you are going as we need to WORK and not to wait until imhosted moves our account to a modern state of the art server with PHP 5.2.6., MYSQL 5.**, Apache 2.**, GraphicMagick/Imagemagick, ...

also ALL OUR subdomains from Lisandi.com have lost their redirects
could you please repair this as it took us yesterday the whole day to
get all our lisandi subdomains connected to our TV channels. We have a

E M E R G E N C Y


I NEED IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO THE FOLDER http://....com/skype and to the folder http://....com/lisa
Those two folders hold very important Documents which need to be available Online!!!!

Our Lawyer in Germany just called me and told me that he can't access those files!
I checked and saw that even the complete folders are missing!!
Also we need our site http://our_customer.com back which was in folder 101

the our_customer.com and all other our_customer.com domains with folders where symlinks to the folder
101/our_customer.com

These three things need to be available IMMEDIATELY!!!

Please check now our_customer is working fine without any errors. If you're unable to import the database, please upload a .sql form of the database, we'll restore it for you.
Note: the data base should be in the form lisandi_database name.

Sorry but where is your 24/7 support??? our sites aren't running now since over 48 hours and still show these errors and absolutly no graphics even nobody has done anything on these sites since 1 year and they were perfect before!!!

The problem is now ho to get TYPO3 running as you can't disable features which have been in use all the time without notifying the users.
Have a look to our_customer it is still showing those exec() errors - so please provide a solution BEFORE you shut down stuff!
This site is down and even our pictures are not showing up??

What else have you disabled??

If you disable exec, then lots of TYPO3 installations won't run anymore as you can see here and we have to recommend also other hosters >> have a look to apapococ.blogspot.com - we could also fill this up with this conversation here why not!

So please be so nice and sove this problem YOU have caused by shutting down components which have been in place since years with out problems.

Now we have another MAJOR Problem

Requirements

Elgg 1.0 requires a system running PHP 5.2+ as an Apache mod (not in CGI mode or safe mode) with GD extensions, MySQL 5+ and a version of the Apache web server with mod_rewrite installed. OpenSocial requires Mcrypt; Elgg 1.1 SOAP extensions will require the PHP SOAP library.



Imhosted is NOT uptodate as they are still working with an very old MYSQL4 and other old requirements



Could you please enable Mysql 5+, and the other neede apps

Hello ,

There is no block of IP at our end , also we have checked your ssh status and its enabled.
We have a current version of mysql 4 on the server which your domain is hosted.
If you need mysql 5 ,and php 5 with apache module we can move your domain to another server which have mysql 5 and which runs PHP 5.2 as an Apache module.

The IP is blocked we talked about this already yesterday was the 118 ranges are still missing at your site and I am waiting to receive them from TOT My current IP is Your IP address is 118.173.87.160 and this blocked as it is not in the ranges you already have!
